So, what are we looking for?

  • At least a year of previous retail sales experience makes all the difference in this role, although we’ll also consider customer service experience in some situations
  • A background in wireless communications is strongly encouraged
  • When it comes to communication skills, you’re off the charts, with the ability to carefully listen and make every customer feel valued and welcomed
  • Tech savvy people wanted • If you’re a born problem-solver, even better
  • A high school degree or GED is essential

What you will do:

  • Learn about our client that we represent, the largest energy, tech, and telecommunication clients and products in North America
  • Implement face to face marketing and sales tactics to their prospective customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service in each presentation
  • Upgrade outdated telecommunication and wireless technology
  • Provide new energy plans and options to consumers
  • Provide the newest tech products and help customers upgrade their home

Whom we are Looking for:

We are seeking to interview candidates that are outgoing, passionate, and those looking for a growth opportunity to potentially start a new industry, or gain experience in their degree field

  • Entry-level marketing, sales, or management experience is a plus
  • Degree with a focus in Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Management or Communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • This full-time role will require around 45 hours per week

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Training in all aspects of sales, from pitch to intros and building customer rapport
  • Assisting in the daily operations of the client

  • Face facing sales and marketing with our customers to uphold solid relationships to meet the needs of our clients by acquiring new customers
  • Developing strong leadership skills to build a high performance, cross-functional team environment
  • Actively participate in daily in person or Zoom campaign meetings and ongoing training sessions to improve marketing and sales skills and stay current with industry trends and work on improving our skillset

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience in a leadership role, sales, marketing, retail, restaurant, or hospitality
  • Internship experience in sales, marketing, and account management.
  • Interest in developing customer partnerships.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize sales activities

Chicago Marketing is an established marketing agency that has been taking Chicagoland by storm. We have continuously grown quarter after quarter, even coming back from the pandemic. Our key is putting our clients and employees first. By doing all of our training and promoting in-house, we can guarantee the standards of success our clients have come to expect, even while expanding.

Recently, we have added a new client to our portfolio and with that a new medium of marketing. We are looking for assistance in managing these clients' customer acquisition, market research, and targeting their key demographics. This is not a digital marketing position; the ideal candidate will be comfortable working with client relations, communication, contract negotiation, fundraising strategies, and sales, among other responsibilities. Our Marketing & Sales Intern will formulate, develop, and maintain strong communication links between our clients and their customers in our vendor partners. As our role with the client grows, so will the expectations of the position. Our goal is to find a Marketing & Sales Intern who is looking to continue growing their skillset and build onto their resume experience.
